Rabies Concerns in Larimer County
The numbers of animals found with rabies in Larimer County continues to rise. In 2012, close to 50 animals were confirmed to have rabies. Take precautions against rabies by having your pets and livestock vaccinated and following simple steps to prevent exposure to rabies.

Vaccination payment policy changes as of January 1, 2013 the Health Department began limiting its vaccination services for those with insurance. This is due to Affordable Care Act regulations on use of federally-funded vaccinations.

Healthy Communities Program Assists Pregnant Women - No health insurance? If you are pregnant or have children, the Healthy Communities program at the Health Department can help connect you to health care. The program also assists those already receiving Medicaid and/or CHP+ in understanding their benefits and accessing medical, dental, vision, mental health and specialty services.
